I'd give this place 10 stars if I could, it's that good. They have the BEST espresso cookies, fresh baked breads, pastas, seafood dishes, pizzas and basically everything on the menu is delicious.
My favorite is the Classic Margherita with beautiful fresh mozzarella, tomato sauce, basil, EVOO. You can't go wrong with the pastas, they are a nice size portion too. -

If I could give this place a zero I would. So the incident im about to explain is now the second time that a bartender at this restaurant has shown poor judgement resulting in my husband being made to feel he had to leave the restaurant. I have worked in the restaurant business for over 15 years as a server, chef, and bartender...and I would never tell a person who has clearly already ordered that they were eating it in the wrong section.
Point one- if a person walks into your restaurant and makes a purchase they should be able to sit where there is an open table. or seat at the bar.
Point two- the customer is always right.
Both of these corner stone concepts to proper customer service are apparently lost on the bartender with the hair that resembles 'Mo' from famous comedy Brothers. She walked up to my husband who was clearly seated in front of a pizza he had just ordered and was about to eat...rudely asked him if he needed a menu..when he clearly did not. Then she took it upon herself to be furthur annoying by standing there and telling him that for next time...'the bar is for full service only.'
We will NEVER eat here again. We will tell all of our friends who live in South tampa..and we know a lot of people...about this incident.
Just a word of advice to the management there....get a new bar tender. -

Delicious food and really friendly hosts and table service.
I recommend making a reservation, it gets busy for dinner.
They offer a nice children's menu.
The red sangria is very tasty
Wait staff are qualified and friendly.
The ambience is lovely.
The daily specials are fresh and nice to have different options from a static menu.
Great for all meals.
I love the plaza it is in.

Whether you are dining in or having an event catered, Pane Rustica is always a great option. They have plenty of variety to accommodate all. The photos included are all from an event we had catered by Pane Rustica and the food did not disappoint. The staff was lovely and everything was portioned out correctly based on the amount of guests attending. The rosemary meatballs were juicy and delicious. The sliders were a hit, as well as the veggie skewers. My favorite was the truffle chips and onion dip--DAMN. The desserts (espresso cookies and key lime bites) were to die for. I also love dining in here, because everything is made fresh and there are so many options. Whether you want to keep it light with a salad or carb it up with pizza or a sandwich, this is the place!

Since I wrote my previous review, they've begun offering a few gluten free desserts, including heavenly GF brownies. Keep being awesome, Pane Rustica!
